Did you watch the Grammy’s the night before? Amy Winehouse has got a stunning voice. Her acceptance speech was hilarious, “my Blake, my Blake incarcerated”. Note her british accent! It had me laughing out loud.
She is a total mess and so young but yet very talented and captivating. There are lots of criticism of her out there and I hope she overcomes her problems and obstacles. Definitely looking forward to hearing more of her work. Amy has a very interesting style, both in her vocals and look. She chose to wear a simple black dress with her big signature hair half pinned up with a flower clip and thick eyeliner. Flower softened her look. I like it and it works for her.
I like flower clips. I’ve been a fan of flower pins since that episode of Sex and the City where Carrie sported a big flower pin. As a matter of fact, I was flipping in the Feb issue of Vogue and they had a whole page spread on flowers, flower patterns and swirling florals. From floral dresses to floral hair accessory, incoporating flowers and rosettes are a great way to bring out that warm summer feeling, as well as the girl in you. Flowers on your hair might give off that bridal feel, but if you do them right they can be pretty and playful.
