Perfect Silhouette
I made a trip out to the mall this weekend and something suprising caught my attention at one of those mall booths. This booth specialized in selling body shapers from Columbia. I’ve heard about body shapers made by Spanx from the Oprah Winfrey Show and morning talk shows before: they miraculously make you look smoother and slimmer. If you have a sagging booty, this body shaper can shape it nicely and give it a boost. Bulges or rolls are sucked in and unforgiving areas are smoothed out. There have also been claims that if you wear it daily you can lose weight. Imagine that!

What grabbed my attention at this booth was the oval opening in the crotch area of the body shapers. This just had me puzzled. A crotchless body shaper?? Not 100% sure what the opening is intended for. I know how hard it is to get in and out of a pair tight jeans and taking a body shaper off would probably be just as hard when nature calls. Here is my take on the opening: for bathroom needs, ventilation, hanky panky
and that “free” feeling? Ha Ha!
I think I just might invest in one these Lycra suits, not for the easy access but more for that slim and smooth silhouette when I’m wearing a dress. The one I saw at the mall was a mid thigh bodysuit with suspenders and side zipper from Moda Cocoon for about $90. I’m not sure about spending $90 but I have heard Columbian makes stunning bathing suits. Donna Karen also has a Body Shaper collection line, “Waist Embrace” available in Level 1 or 2 for about $40, Spanx (as seen on Oprah) offers variety of styles from $22-$36.
